Accreditation Update - Bulletin 01-08

As a follow up to our letter to WSIB Chairman Steve Mahoney:

Honorable Steve Mahoney has called and advised us that he has directed the staff to adjust the accreditation proposal so that it includes a financial reward. He made it clear that it will not allow for a double dip of safety group and accreditation rebates.

The WSIB Board is to consider the proposal in mid-December.

The combined response of COCA, OGCA and others was well received and acted upon quickly.

The OGCA will continue its efforts to work with the WSIB as a partner dedicated to the safety of our employees.
