Organizational Highlights
Conceived over 65 years ago from a desire to bridge the gap between national and regional associations, the OGCA continues to ensure that the interests of general contractors and the construction industry are not overlooked. As far back as the first meeting, the OGCA's stated objective was the protection and advancement of the interests of the general contractors of the province. We take pride in our rich history and continuity of having many of the names mentioned in the articles below represent companies that are still members of our association since 1939.

From 1929 to 1939 general contractors in Ontario paid out more than $116,000,000 in wages. This exceeds 58 per cent of the total pay roll of the Construction Industry in the province for the same period.
