Educational Programs
College Co-op Students
CO-OP PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Co-operative education provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience related to their program of study. Co-op students are available for three 15-week work terms each year - May to August, and September to December. Students must work a minimum of 360 hours in order to earn their credit.
By becoming a co-op employer, not only will you be helping a student get a better start in his or her career, you will get the services of a skilled employee for a short term, as well as tax advantages.
The Ontario government allows a tax credit for eligible businesses that hire students from Colleges. Find out if you are eligible through your local college.
