Project Description: This 1931 historical building will be fully restored; the interior will be retrofitted to house a Loblaws grocery store, parking on the lower level and the creation of three new interior floors for the Ryerson University field house with a new ice pad, basketball courts and academic facilities. The completed facility will contain over 300,000 square feet of space with new mechanical, electrical and life safety systems being installed throughout. The Toronto Heritage Services team is part of the team to ensure that the historical aspects of this Toronto landmark building are protected and maintained.
